I agree 100%

I get frustrated after I build some features only to find that it can't be seen. I had the same issue with plastic models.

Thank you and keep it practical.

Unhappy Nose section and 1st screw up

I decided to add the nose sections on.

the partsF-104G Starfighter- Kartonowa Kolekcia 1/33 scale-img_3712.jpgF-104G Starfighter- Kartonowa Kolekcia 1/33 scale-img_3713.jpg

As I studied the alignment, I note that the top green anti shade on the nose sections ( which have their glue tabs at the edge of the green ) aligns with the gray color. So far so good.

then

I glued it together to the cockpit section and just had a brain fart thinking that I screwed up the alignment. I then removed the nose section, but the glue semi set already and in the process caused damage on the left side.

I replaced the glue tab and re glued in the same position which was correct the first time. However, there is a small wrinkle on the skin.

Oh well, this build is not going well for me so far. I am getting sloppy.

I think Isaac such a brainfart happens to the best of us at times. Perhaps it's still possible to correct by simply put the nose section under the copier and cut out the particular patch around the wrinkled section and paste over it. If you cut the patch out in a smart way you may not even notice it from some distance.

Ok.

I thought I was just making an innocuous compliment. I wasn't implying that someone should purposely design, or build, detail simply to cover it up, never to be seen again.

It's only a hobby. Nothing too serious here.

Thank you for the compliment.

Smile Aft of cockpit section

his aft section has a clear section to the rear of the pilot seat.

easy assembly and you need a flat thin clear plastic sheet cut to size and glued to the inner surface.

Smile Going aft

add more sections going aft. Nothing fancy, just cylindrical / round sections before you get to the center section.

here it is

I'm a little late to the show. Nice start Isaac, looks like you recovered nicely from the issues with the nose. I still can't see those rudder pedals.
