Cool Curtiss B-2 Condor - Beta - Murph's Models

Hi friends!

Here is my effort to build a Curtiss B-2 Condor a beta from Murph's Models, is a very beautiful model with awesome textures.

Is a fuselage buid sequence. Is not for begginers, but beside a uncommon solutions for build (and very nice indeed) the shape of fuse is captured...

Is a wing and nacelles sequence build. Nacelles is easy to build because have no formers, the secret is alignment of nacelles with wing plan...

The next steps is made a nacelles acessories, tail and undercarriage. The radiators is pretty delicated because is glue top edge with no tabs. The tail is a complex, but is easy to build the struts fit perfect. in this step I build a struts braces on nacelles. After I build undercarriage legs and tail, with no problems. all fit very weel.

The next setps is paint the white edges, made a initial rigging and apply a layer of varnish to put in a build jig for struts wings and high wings.

Regards!

Looking great.

Also nice to see the other models you're building in the background.

This is a very welcome model! I hope the Martin NBS-1 and the Keystone B-6 are in Murph's queue.

Very fine work on this classic USAAC bomber, Pericles.

Looking pretty darn good there. Guess once it's for sale I'll have to get me one, or two, knowing that multiple paint schemes are the norm.

I not believe is possible Richschindler, the production of B-2 is very small, in fact 26 airframes are build and USAAC use the plane in only two squadrons...

Hi friends .

Resume the work in Curtiss B-2 Condor.

First I made a foam jig for gluing struts and high wing...

I put the model in the jig, the fix is made wit needles and pins from different sizes and head shapes...

I made a rigging step the photos and my documentation about Curtiss B2 (sorry for pic quality is from cell phone), in the next update tonight I finish the model (missing a scarff rings and machine guns and a layer of varnish...

It's a real beauty. The rigging is impressive. I appreciate all the images of the model in the jigs that show your methodology.
