RAF S.E.5A 1/48 scale by der Kampfflieger

I am not sure when or where I got this one as it is not on my extra hard-drive... it is either poorly printed or it has faded. It has been in storage for some years. But even faded it is a grand little WW1 model. Roman makes some good kits. I have to be a bit careful as my card stock wants to parts... old? anyhow, a bit of a start. The gun is quite small and I am pretty pleased with it so far. Actual scale is 1/53 scale do to printing undersized. I am a little sloppy on the body of the plane, rather this is because of me or because of the inconsistency of my card stock... well. still came out well enough!

On to more parts!

A good start, Corey! I like the surface texture on that one. Not quite so one dimensional. Looks like it will build into a neat SE.

Cheers,
Dan

Another great start, Corey. Look forward to seeing this one come together.

That model does build up quite nice. I did a personal re-color on one once and built it up at 1/72 and it built up quite nicely. I also have one printed out at 1/144 and it was going well so far, just never got around to finishing it.

Some small progress. .. life keeps interupting my build time. But I am pleased with this build so far. I may keep this one for my 1/50-ish collection. I have limited space so most of my finished models of all scales are given to kids. But a few I keep. Anyhow.. if the fun is in the build then this little guy is fun!
