nose section

nose section

also with opening

insted of making the little black cone from paper, i decided to do is from plasticine....because this part is very round and with the plasticine i can get the best result.

after i placed the round plasticine on the nose section, i coverd it with super glue to make it strong.

front landing gear door

hump and electronic warfare device under the nose section

refueling hose

refueling hose

the base of the refueling hose

it is better to connect the base of the refueling hose before we assemble the wing and the air intake of the right side of the model, because if we will build them first, there will not be enough space for adjustments.

canopy

now it is the time of the canopy

but before we connect the canopy to the model we have to connect the Aerodynamic stripes between the body and the air intakes, because the aft edge of the canopy is a little bit on those stripes.

YOAV

Aerodynamic stripes

now we can go back to the canopy

tail fin/rudder

tail fin/rudder

for those who remember, i did the tail fin/rudder of the A-4F SKYHAWK with shadow effecst for the gradual moving surface, but you don't know that i did actually also 3D version of those gradual moving surface.

i kept it in secret till the time i built it and see if it fits properly to the model.

i am not sure, but i think this A-4F PAPER MOSEL is the only one with 3D gradual moving surface.

so here is the file with the 2 options of the gradual moving surface, with shadow effect and with 3D option.

YOAV

the tail fin/rudder file

now is the time for the hard work.
i work on this moving surface and the tail fin about 5 hours, including fixing the file during the work and taking pictures to document the process.

as i told you once, i hate little parts.

the first step is the formers of the tail fin

the parts of the moving surface

to make the work easier on the little parts, i took a toothpick and made his edge flat and square.
first i made slots on the little part and after that i put it on the flat toothpick so he will get flat and square shap all along.....see in this picture.

this is the 3D gradual moving surface

I smoothed the front part to make it straight with a nail file.

now he is ready to installed

now we go back to the tail fin.
I removed the desired part from the tail fin.

Very nice yoav....

by the way ,the flair cassets should be internal and not external ...
hope it will be a clean fix.
