Turbulators / Vortex generators

Small spelling correction. Those are turbulators and sometimes the term Vortex generators is used as well. It is an aerodynamic surface that delays the boundary layer separation and allows for a better control. It is usually placed in front of devices like ailerons and elevators or rudders.

Ha! I'm a turbulator fan!

If you like nerve breaking jobs: try the Halinski Dauntless. The brake flaps have something like a 200 dia 2mm holes to be cut out. Total madness. It's true, really true.

Wonderful design and build Yoav! This model will be high on my to do list.

Cheers,
Erik

i almost there.

just now i finished building the elevators.

what's left???
arresting hook
a lot of antenas and transmiters on the nose and the fuselage
and armament carriers.

YOAV

In the meantime, let's go over the elevators process.

the elevators

the covers of the elevators base

part no' 17c pasted on the elevator

the upper cover no' 17 pasted on the elevator

the lower cover no' 17a pasted on the elevator

Note that both covers have volume as you will see in the following pictures.

the work is done, the 2 elevators connected to the tail fin.

The A-4 Skyhawks elevators have steering surfaces that move.
But even the whole elevators can move up and down.

so, for those who want to build the elevators angled down or up.
The following steps should be performed.

first....
cut the yellow area on the tail fin.

This is the elevator at zero angle

And this elevator at a low maximum angle.
Pay attention to what happened. The hole we had cut before opened.

Why is this so? I have no idea, but that's how it is in reality.
Here is a comparison picture to see how this actually exists.

Yoav

for some reason, most of the photos from the last postings today did not load properly and are not visible here?

You may check it on your end to confirm.

Yoav

Maybe it is the way the pictures are uploaded?

or the server here?

I do not know what the problem is, but I can see all of them, because in the end it's pictures like in the past that I uploaded from my album on Google.

The first post should have 12 pictures.
In the second post should be 5 pictures.
In any case, even today the forum is rising more slowly than usual.
Probably a problem on the server of the forum again.
I also can not re-edit the messages, because it's been half an hour since I wrote them

as i said, maybe again there is a problem on the forum server.

Anyway, let's wait an hour to an hour and a half and let me know if anything has changed and everything worked out.
if not, I'll re-upload the pictures with a new messages.
