Israeli Air Force Spitfire MK. IXE Model Cardboard 1:50-ish scale

I have decided on my next build. Found two copies of this model printed off, in two separate parts of the house... The scale is about 1:53 scale and the color is OK. Not as sharp a it would be if it were a fresh print on high quality setting but not washed out either. One copy is slightly darker then the other but both are build-able. I will only be building on now and safe the other for a second go.

The model is Mareks 1:50 scale model of an IAF Spitfire in 1949. It is a basic model, that is, no wheel wells or cockpit, but it does capture the shape and look of a Spitfire. If you want to give it a go, you can find it here:

https://www.ecardmodels.com/index.ph...per-model.html

It has a page and a half of parts and follows Mareks basic sedign on most of his planes...

An interesting thing with this. The tail is double printed for some reason. But no problem. I have a number of parts made and it is starting to look like something... not a plane yet but something... all parts fit well.

Looking a bit more like a Spitfire. Not too happy with the little filler parts between the body and wings but I will improve on it next tim. Canopy came out real good foe a paper bubble canopy. Moving right along...

Thank you. It has been a good build so far but with a few things I intend to improve on when I build it again.

A very nice build.

It will be interesting to compare the improved second build with this one.

Cool

Ah yes, I remember building those similar ones ( from WHV ) back in the 60's and a some other versions as well like Zarkovs Iron Maiden and the Black Spitfire ( I don't know whose ? ).

They are all very simple and fun builds. I don't think that there is much improvements other than a total repaint that can be done to them.

Anyhow, what's not to love about a Spitfire?

Enjoy the build
