Thanks, YOAV and Gary! Those wings are being difficult, but I'll get 'er done.

The wing spars are easier than they look. Each piece has a gray stripe that goes on top towards the front. When fully assembled, the stripes will all line up into one. The dark gray area on the fuselage sides that says "Cut Out" gives you the shape and direction for the spar. It just slides through. The middle piece of the spar is either the exact width of the fuselage, or has lines on it to show where to line it up.For the tail, I usually use a couple of toothpicks as a spar

THANKS! My trouble was that I went through and embossed most of the lines for folding and there were some I shouldn't have...

I did get the main spar into the fuse and it looks great. Now I need to get the wing skins on. That grey shaded part really helped alignment of the parts. Good idea.

Good idea about the tails, too. I'll try that.

Neat model, by the way...your P-61 is next!

Cheers,
Dan

Got the main spar and tails on. I'll do the nacelles next and then hope to put the wings on with little drama!

Couple tricks for the wings: 1) Don't score the middle of the wing: 2) put glue on the edge of the wing where it'll touch the fuselage 3) run a thin line of glue along the corners of the spar, front & back, top & bottom. Then after sliding the wing on, press gently until the glue grabs. That'll help the wing hold it's shape.

Thanks for the advice. Those things (especially don't score the middle of the wing form) made a huge difference.

Here are the first part of the wings on. I'll work on the nacelles and rads next.

I've built the Monogram Mossie about 5 times and this one is just a bit heftier and I like the slightly larger size. Can't wait to start the Black Widow!

Cheers,
Dan

A tad more. I put on one nacelle which was...interesting. But everything lined up in the end!

Starting to look like a real Mossie now...
