Murph's Models Mossie! 1/42nd Scale

My son got me this download for Father's Day (as he says..."F-DAY") and I can't wait to get started. I've never built from this designer but it looks nicely done, has the tabs I like and the colors look neatly rendered.

Plus...you can't really go wrong with a Mossie!

Stay tuned!

Tiny bit done. The extreme nose, a former and the main canopy. So far, everything lines up great. This kit reminds me of the Model Art Westland Whirlwind that basically started all of this craziness for me!

More tomorrow....Dan

Look forward to it. Really happy that you'll share your experience in building this model.

In my experience, Murph's models go together well. He is a very experienced designer who goes to considerable effort to build them himself or have them beta tested (many by Papermate) to insure good fit and alignment.

I look forward to seeing how this one turns out for you.

Certainly looks good so far!

Don

This guy is going together very well. Everything fits tight and true. Loving it so far. My son also got me the P-61 so now I'm not too scared of that one!

Thanks Don et al. for your comments. I can't wait to hang this one in my office. Students will love it and administrators will be a tad concerned.

Got the fuse done! Seems to look pretty nice. I don't think there are any spars for the tails which worries me a bit. I also started the wing spars which really had no directions and I sort of messed it up. We'll see how the wings go tomorrow!
