It looks like you're completely rebuilding an actual aircraft. Magnificent job!

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all the comments!

Don Boose,
I couldn't find any information what does C1 stands for. I noticed that other Nieuport planes like 11 or 28 had also mark C1. For example Nieuport 11 C1.
When it comes to Nieuport 17, version with Clerget engine was marked 17 Bis.

I've done the cockpit. Everything went fine. I added few details like wires connected with switches and clock. Now i am going to cover it and work on the plane's body.
Plane looks like this at this stage:

That is an exceptionally realistic cockpit!

I will keep digging on the "C.1" mystery.

In my not-so-fine moments working on my Halinski Buffalo, I often think back fondly on Marek's designs.

The C.1 stands for the type "Chasseur, single seat," in other words a single-seat fighter. A modification to a design (such as a different type engine) was typically indicated by "bis" after the designation, i.e. Nieuport 17bis for the re-engined Nieuport 17.

Hi!

YankeeBoy,
Thanks for explanation

I am working still on the body. It's nearly done. Few more things to do and I can start with the tail. Plane looks like this so far:

I had some difficulties during this stage. I decided to change a little bit the construction of the body and I removed few parts. I also also Cut few of them.
To be honest, I don't like the idea of body construction without skeleton.

Anyway, I hope I will fish the whole body before next weekend

Lukas

Ps. New arrival from GPM store

The fuselage looks very good!

It looks like you have your work cut out for you in the future with all those models. The Nakajima Nieuport looks especially interesting.

Hi,

I've done the tail. I also made some small details like "metal" covers or stringing.
At current stage model looks like this:

Now I am going to do lower wings.
