I made my own joining strips in lieu of using the integral tabs, so I don't know if that had anything to do with being unable to get smooth, uniform joints. I used a couple of the formers, but they tended to distort the other end of the section I used them on. Most of the model is filled with my preferred substance -- toilet paper!

Anyway, constructive criticism welcome. I still don't really understand how papermate and Pericles get such seamless joints using integral tabs. I know one or both have explained their technique, but I just can't seem to master it.

Beautiful model. I want to buy one but I couldn't find it on Murph's web page. Can anybody help me?
Thanks

It's the first item in the second row of the "Between the Wars" section.

I have always been drawn to this ship and her sister ship Akron. I wish the Shenandoah had been made into a kit. She was more like the Los Angeles than the Macon.

Great work! Enjoyed seeing the build...

Gang,

Mucho thanx for all the kind comments. I don't do as well with card model aircraft (including an airship!) as I do with rockets and spacecraft. Still working on my skills for the former.

For me is very fine work. My method is very simple for working with integral tabs, I made a small scrib in the base of fold line of tab, for made a small angle folding, I put the glue on the base of tab and add a section, after I gluing the rest of tab, I made each for each is a tedious and long section, but for me works. I hope explained well

I thought that's the way you had described it. I must have done something wrong when I tried it a while ago. Worth trying again. Thanx!
