@ Erik - I was at my hide-away but not idle

Today’s pictures show the transverse formers. There is no shortage of them, making for a solid assembly!

Are you going to add something extra? Or it will be pure kit?

@ 7TP - the idea is to use only the kit parts. The tires follow my usual method but I don't plan to add anything else.

The cockpit detail is very simple. On the last picture, you start to see how the formers match. No fit problems, so far.

I assembled the front fuselage in the sequence shown in the pictures. The second side panel had to fit on all the formers and it did, tightly. I opted to cut some parts slightly inside the line, in order to have some room to maneuver. It proved to be a wise decision…

What a charming simplicity Ricardo. It looks like the paper and cardboard construction is even more rigid than the original metal tube-spanning wire-wood-cloth construction that was Fokker's trademark!

Discarding the detail at the extreme rear, all this fuselage section could be made in a single part. Well, why make it simple when you can make it complex? Most of the work gets hidden but I have to admit that the resulting assembly is solid and easy to make. So, why not?...

The thin tires were modeled by the usual method. I painted them dark gray, as in the kit cover pictures. German WW1 plane tires were often light gray. The fact is that I have seen model pictures with either dark or light tires…

The tres were grey because there was a shortage of carbon black. Some times thr rubber was tan or pinkish.
