Garry Pilsworth's DC-8 1/144 (ish)

I dont have much more room in my apartment to build the original design size so I shrunk it down to approximately 1/144. Im not totally sure the scale but it seems about right. Not the cleanest build ive ever done but I love having a DC-8 with the CMF56 engines. Fun build. I remembered to put a counterweight in the nose for once Im trying to learn to recolor and starting on bruno's models. If i ever figure that out ATI and a BAX Global airframes are definitely planned for the future.

Josh,

I keep track of your 1/144 builds. I may have or may not have been a little inspired!

Always loved the look of DC-8s with CFM56s, and your build does it justice. Thanks for sharing the photos!

I’m working on the ATI repaint. May have it done by Christmas. There’s one at the airport nearby and I hope to get access to the ramp soon for a walk around. Thanks HueyCobra for sharing the photos, and thanks Gary for designing the model.

That's a superb collection! Where does the JetBlue model come from?

I must confess, theyre not all build models...about half are skymarks models i purchased years ago with some of my first job money. Im slowly moving paper models in and pushing the skymarks out, hehe. Knife is right, thanks Gary for the awesome model(s). Wyvern, the jet blue is paper-replika's a320 recolored by John Bowden available in the downloads section!
