Murph's Model - North American F-100D Super Sabre, 1/29

This is a beta build of Murph's Model, North American F-100D Super Sabre, Don Schmenk FW594 version. The original scale is 1/29, meaning a length of 16-3/4 inches, but now reduced to the more common scale of 1/33 (14-3/4 inches long).

What left to be done is the installation of the wing fences that I have forgotten before taking pictures and finishing off with the armament, too many to choose from and to hang on the pylons. Just finished three of the five and two different drop tanks to go. The craziest of Murph's bombs is the cluster bomblet dispenser which has 19 tubes to glue on to a circular disc of 8 mm in diameter and then a fairing to cover the tubes (see last picture, that on the right). Don't forget, you are supposed to print twice the armament sheet to build. Man, it gives me headache which is which to fix on the pylons. And there are only six pylons to hang all seven bombs and drop tanks.

My question, what are all of the "weathering" markings on the wings, etc?

Those are absolutely wrong in the airflow pattern, if that is what they are.

Not only are they over "emphasized", they do not even flow in the correct direction.

I am sorry but I don't see any "weather markings" Can you please be more clear on this matter? I just see a beautiful model.

Beautiful and accurate model. A small question with all due respect. Why don't you incorporate cabin interiors?

Notice the "stain" markings on the wings and fuselage.
Notice the direction of the flow of the "stain" markings.

I see what you mean, the streaks on the bottom run right to left instead of front to back. The streaks on the wings run 90 degrees from the front of the wing instead of parallel to the fuselage.

I think this might be a printer issue with papermate's printer, the gray gradient didn't print correctly, and depending on how Aaron oriented the gradient, it comes out as a bunch of lines all going in the direction of the original gradient.

I have had it before when printing large maps on the plotter in my office, solved it by cycling the printer off and on
