Here's a picture of the big doors, look at the angle.
The doors are at such an angle, in order to assemble armaments or drop tank in the belly Another thing, to the best of my knowledge and according to a friend of mine, the Matra missiles were not used by the Israeli air force. YOAV |

Hello YOAV ,
Thanks for your information and the beautiful picture. But since I'm not the type where everything has to be 100% correct, I'll leave everything as it is. .... and further, we are already on the finish line .... The mounts for the outer rockets are glued to the baffles. Two pieces of SideWinder rockets are to be built. And ready to go. Kind regards Kurt |

The Sidewinders look just just perfect Kurt
For the missile body, did you manage to curve the paper with such a small radius or was it necessary to delaminate? I often have problems with those long and narrow cylinders... |

Hello Ricardo ,
First I round with chopsticks. Then I lightly moisten the paper with a finger, and continue rounding with smaller sticks. that works pretty well. On your models, but you can not see that you have any problems. Hello everybody , The two 500 liter fuel tanks with all their individual parts .... mounted under the wings. The last parts, now the flyer is sprayed with silk matt clear coat from the tin. So, now she is there my Mirage III. After 46 days of craftsmanship with 72 hours of construction, it has become quite attractive despite the problems with the air intakes. However, this model is not recommended for beginners. Best regards Kurt As a supplement, the comparison with the Mirage of GELI I built at the tender age of 13 years 42 years ago, by the way, my oldest model received |

Thanks for the tip, Kurt I'd have problems without delaminating. "Your" moisturing seems to do the trick much as well!
The very fine Mirage lines look very well modelled and you made a great assembling work. Nice pictures, too! The Geli version is very slightly smaller? Is it 42 years old?! It looks new!!! |

Kurt
For narrow body tubes like the missile, I wrap the skin around a wood dowel and glue it in place. It also keeps the tube from bending Also, I too have an old model I built that many years ago that I can't seem to throw or give away yet. Soon though. And it's a delta wing too My old WHV B-58 Isaac

Hey Kurt
Well done to finish the model ... came out a very nice result. As for the model of GELI... I also built it at the time, a simple and beautiful model, especially its silver color. YOAV |

You may find this excellent video interesting and informative as regards paper shaping. You can skip to 5:17 to see how he does small diameter tubes (similar to Kurt's description).
