I went ahead and did the repaint for hueycobra. First I expanded the model to 1/48 scale. A quick build was done to make sure there was no large gaps or misalignment of markings. Being a Skyline kit from Sumoto, everything lined up perfectly.

Next step was to remove the old markings and fill in the new. I like the markings on the Contour Airlines airplanes. Overall I think it turned out well.

Unfortunately Sumoto does not accept repaints for sell on his web site. So this is going to be a one-off build for hueycobra only. But other paint schemes are available over at skyline paper models.

He was talking of releasing a CRJ 700 and reworking all his large jetliners a couple of years ago. But he has dropped off the radar. Hope he gets back into the community soon.
