Skyline BAE-31 American Eagle

Hello all,
Long time reader and modeler here making the big leap and posting a little work online. Build Skyline's Jetstream 31 and added a few extras. Door handle, door skid, windshield wipers, pitot tubs, adf antenna, and wing fences. One day I hope to make another and scratch built flaps and the interior. But thats a long way off.. Sorry for poor picture quality.

I really enjoyed the Jetstream. But i may be biased seeing as im a First Officer on them in one of the last few operators of them in the world. One day i hope to learn how to recolor Skyline's model into my current company colors. The Jetstream community is small and one of the Captains I fly with has time in the actual aircraft represented by the model so I may build another one for him.

Ive included a picture or two of a company aircraft. Kinda rare to see a flying jetstream these days. Some may find interesting

I probably flew with your Captain. I gave Sumoto the tail number to model. It was flown by Corporate Airlines, later renamed Regions Airlines. PM me your current tail number and I might be able to work in a repaint (someday).

That's a very nice plane. And your build is very well done.
Thanks for sharing it with us. It is great to see this kind of works.

Great build of a really nice model. By adding those little details you’ve made it even better.
I hear you in regards to flying a plane that’s fading from the skies. I flew a corporate BAC 1-11 back in the day. Got a lot of, what kind of plane is that.

Welcome. You did a great job, and the added details are amazing, add to the realism.

Thats awesome. Those old British Birds are quite unique arent they? My favorite part about flying old equipment is people dont know what to call us on the radio. I've heard "jetstar" "gulfstream" "jetair" "jetspeed". Always gives us a chuckle.

Thanks for the intro everybody. Ive always admired the camaraderie in these forums. And the wealth of knowledge that is shared is just awesome.

I find the folks here are VERY generous and if they hit upon a new technique or a new source of models or something else helpful, they are more than willing to share it.

They are also very inspirational. Every day, I see builds here that make me want to do better.

And last but not least, the folks here never talk politics. In this day and age, this website is a great oasis.
