That technique is something I'll use in the future. Thanks! The paper I use is 65lb cover stock.

I have been enjoying models by TSMCのホームページ which are mostly 1/72, but C-47/DC-3 in 1/100. If you are nice and send a request for out of date models, he will usually provide them.

I'm following this since you started. I don't recall seeing a build thread of this particular model before.
Already looks like you are turning it into a good model despite the usual limitations of the FG kits. Wish to see more.

Thanks! I'm currently working on the wings and horizontal stabilizers, but I'm not too happy with the fit.

I built the FG C47 many years back...the basic army one.
To be honest, I found it to be not perfect, but a perfect FG model.
...if nothing else, they give you great build practice.
There are some guys here that can do amazing things with FG kits.

I don't know if the pics will be of any help, but here it is...
I may have reduced it in scale...I can't remember.
And if so, I don't know how much.

That looks awesome, Dave! I've been trying to find that top u-shaped antenna in the kit, but can't seem to find it. Any hints?

Its on Page 2 of the C-47 4U model as pictured.

I guess its not included on any of the other versions.
If you bought the current C47 package, it has multiple versions,
but should also include the older 4U Army version?

I don't have this Canadian version.
My Dc3/C47 package is a lot older.
I got FGs entire catalog from Chip about 5 years ago,
so its a bit out of date.

Thanks, YOAV and Airdave! As I look into the C47 package Dave, I see that only the army version has the antenna, like you said, on page 2. Wierd.
