Internet started to be the way to find models. So I searched for long hours in places I didn't understand the language but with nice models. I found a Grumman Goose with a funny tail, and I decolored, resized and printed in metalized paper. I have seen the model in different places.

And thank you all for your kind comments!
This has been a nice and long journey, I wish I could dedicate more time to modeling.
Nevertheless this site has been providing a lot of joy and inspiration.

Dear Oldenburger:

The Calypso is a modification of JSC minesweeper BYMS-2211, companion to the Mexico Victory. I searched for plans of the Calypso in internet and found a number of them.

Also, Mr Oliver Bizer made one some time ago.

1/400 you say: waaow.
I stop at 1/300. That is small enough.

And that's why I am so thankful to you Bruno. From 1/300 to 1/400 is only 75% reduction, from 1/100 it is 25% (still doable), but from 1/33 it is ~ 8%!!!

Do you know that Bruno has a model of the Calypso Catalina in 1/300?

Really?
I didn't realized that, I'll have to get it.
Sorry this is the aviation forum.

For those who didn't know, Bruno did a set of very nice flying boats in 1/300.
I hope one of these days I can do a thread of "Seaplanes in 1/400 after Papermodelers and after Bruno.

ps: I still have in my wish list the Be-10 and the elusive Harbin SH-5, and a few others. But I can not complain, since I have not build the Martin Marlin that I consistently requested from Bruno :(

That is some very fine work in such a small scale!

I enjoyed reading your growth in the hobby.

Thank you Wyvern:
When I got more confidence I started to convert models using internet available information I found a very obscure subject, the Dornier Do-212. I used the fuselage of the Piaggio. The actual plane was a failure but it look fine and interesting to me. The propeller (missing in this case) was a pusher as in the case of the Piaggio but it tilted, like the Do-26, 12 degrees up to clear the water.
