Thank you Papermate:
Now I do need my jewelry glasses. But some years ago I did it raw! Although I read in a book for miniature ships (1/1200) that the author recommended ALWAYS to use magnifying air which improved the accuracy of the models substantialy regardless of your eye sight. After the Do-212 I ventured in a more successful plane, and a beauty, the Beriev Be-4. It is a very streamlined flying boat with a single engine, like the Fairchild 91 but smaller. In fact it was designed to be embarked and catapulted. No doubt an improvement for crew comfort over the biplane open cockpit Be-2 (KOR-1). Se this is a pure scratch build trail and error, waiting from someone from Bruno's Academy of Paper Modeling Design to be produce in 1/300 or better in 1/400. So bear with me. |

Much later, I learned that it is better to have lines in medium gray than in pure black for paper modeling, in particular fro with or silver models.

This is a Loire 130, made with the metalized envelope of a wedding invitation. And I do not remember where in cyberspace I found it, what I remember is that it was black and white. In addition I am including a family photo!

JSC Aircraft in 1/400
So far these are the planes, and helicopters that I have identified in JSC publications in 1/400. The models have evolved from hand drawn to computer aided design. Most notable are the early and late Walrus and Ar-196; and most extreme remake the early and latest Lynx. Some Catalinas, Seagulls and Seafoxes are silverized.

For the next reissues, my wishes are a He-60 for the Konigsberg, a Fokker for the De Ruyter, and a Seahawk for the Iowa.

Gerry1966 planes in 1/400
In addition to the JSC 1/400 Gerry has produced very well done Aircraft Carrier Planes from WWII. And for the missing Swordfish with floats, one may use the Seafox's floats that he has recently presented.
