Smile Moving forward

Now as we add sections of the fuselage going forward, you must decide to build with of without the speed brakes deployed. Obviously I am adding it.

So cut out the airbrake outline in the sides

and connect the fuselage section. The housing will be added later on.

Smile Vertical fin frames

Add the triangular frame as well as the base. Need to do it now or else the small frame sticking out will just break off.

Now you can continue the build without worries

Smile Speed brake housing

Now that the cutouts are ready, build the housing. One for each side.
F-84F Thunderstreak- Hobby Model 1:33 scale-img_5352.jpgF-84F Thunderstreak- Hobby Model 1:33 scale-img_5353.jpg

And now, glued to the inside of the fuselage.

Since the paper used will wrinkle around the cutout, I added an additional wood stiffeners on either side of the housing.

Great job Isaac. I love the open air brakes, they always add a lot of additional detailing.

Smile Adding sections forward

Thanks to all for noticing and following this build.

Now add sections going forward
F-84F Thunderstreak- Hobby Model 1:33 scale-img_5358.jpgF-84F Thunderstreak- Hobby Model 1:33 scale-img_5359.jpg

You can only go as far as the fuselage section that houses the cockpit. This is the joint with the forward section which is next.
