Cool Wings

First thanks for the comments.

Next step is to attach the wing frames to the fuselage

Now prepare the wing skins and landing gear bays. I creased and folded the one piece wings along the leading edge and then cut out the area for the main wing landing gear bay.

Glue the bay and the internal parts in place.

here is a view of the bay from below. Very plain and no details.

Here is where I added a small joining strip of card to the lower wing frame to help in both fit and structural support of the wing.

Now we are ready to glue the lower wing skin to that extra tab.

Then glue the spars in place. Notice the small gear axle trial fit

Now add wood structure to support the landing gear axle.

I added an additional card sheet on the top of the wing structure under the wing to smooth the surface so the structure does not show thru.

Finally, fold the wing skin over and glue along the upper inside and the trailing edge of the flap.

Very informative, Isaac the way you lead us through this build and how you deal with the wings. It's a good idea to add separate pieces of paper sheet to prevent the wing spars from "shining through" the wing surface. Keep up this good work!

Nice job, Isaac. I love to see those separate control surfaces. Lots of details.

Been playing in Google and so far have only found that the kit maker does indeed have the font correct.
For example,

and

Probably in an off-line archive somewhere is the perfect documentation photo.

Edit: now I'm just simply playing - what's the deal with that Thunderflash's paint job?

This one rates right up there, just like all your other builds. I would expect nothing less from you. Your builds are incredible.
