Fuselage joining and cockpit tub
There are two ways of dealing with the joining of the forward and aft fuselage sections with an open cutout for the cockpit and when to install the tub.
The main issue for me is that if the cockpit is installed first, then the fuselage joints become blind and hard to fit together. So here is option 1 dry fit attaching the cockpit tub first option 2 is to attach the fuselage halves first I decided to glue the forward and aft fuselage sections first. This way, I can align and press the glue tabs from the inside. Now glue the mid frame and slip the cockpit tub under the forward instrument panel. After dry fit, glue in place. The tub is flexible enough to allow it. Isaac

Upper fuselage equipment
Here is the housing for the equipment behind the cockpit
and installed. Notice that I added small thin sides to the cockpit opening ( in dark gray color ), so as to eliminate the sharp edge. and quick status pictures. add the lower aft bulge. Isaac

Vertical fin
The vertical fin is very simple one piece wrap around. There is an option to separate the rudder, but it would have not added any better realism due to the tight fit, so I left if off. Also, I did not find photos of the rudder deflection on the ground.
So here is is and glue tab is added and attached to the rear frame on the fuselage. Isaac

Upper spine fairing
In order to attach the fairing to the rear of the cockpit, you need to get the canopy parts ready as well
glue the two clear windows inside part now covers the window frames here is the inner channel for the canopy rear link glue the fairing in place by aligning the black patch on top with the fuselage patch now the thin fairing that connects to the vertical fin ( that is a very tricky part ) and fairing is done. My version will have the canopy in the open position. Isaac

Nice work Isaac.
If I may comment ... The back part, behind the cockpit and later on, should be more round. I think you did the same thing in one of my French models...This is a second mistake...for the third time you will owe me ice cream. in another matter.... You know that in about an hour, Chris from Germany is supposed to come to a Model Builders meeting with some of my friends in my house. take care my friend. YOAV |
