To prepare you guys for the YAL-1 Airborne Laser, here are some build pictures for your view.
This time, I'm reverting to using normal thick paper about 170 gsm instead of hot laminated one. Papermate |

Since the ones I was worried about are all good to go, I'm gonna release all of them tonight. Plus I want to test the new download system. Get them here: Murph's Models - Boeing 747

Just a note - the pod on top of the fuselage, does not have a black pointed front, such as a radar cover.
In pictures of the YAL-1, and descriptions of the aircraft, it appears to be another, smaller laser pod used as a laser range finder.

I think it varied depending on flight. I found pictures with and without the black bit. I put it on to help hide parts lines.

I had contemplated that possibility before I posted. However, I could not find any picture like that is why I brought it up.
I also found a couple of pictures of "mission" and "kill" markings for the front.

Murph's,747s are great looking. I bought all 10 of them. Have already started building the Shuttle Carrier V1.
Is there a chance you will do more paint schemes? I hope so. Once again a BIG THANKS. |
