Question!!!
Hi all,
Until now I have only build ship models (see my threads on this Forum), but I would like to try and build an airplane. My question is what card model planes in scale 1:33 have the best quality, because when I start I like to build a real good and detailed one, and not just a sloppy one, so which brand has the best quality models ?? T.i.A. John.

In the "printed kit" category, except if the kit is really old, I'd certainly recommend Halinski. I have shown some of them in this forum. That's not to say that other publisher's kits are bad, of course. Many GPM's, Answer/Angraf, Wak, Orlik and others can yield excellent models...

Your question is a little subjective. Personally I think the most detailed and best quality ones are by Halinski: CARD MODELS A look round the card modelling forums will give you a good idea of what they are like. Tim

If you want large models, accurate, but simple to build, I recommend you my models.
 It's a 1:30 scale jet fighter , but the only problem is that I'm planning them without landing gears .  You can find them on the DGA site. they are free to download. this is the link. dgapapermodels.com look for the title.....Yoav Hozmi's Models. YOAV this is the last one i built.

Most detailed kits are Halinski, some recent Maly kits are also very well designed and full of detail. Zarkov's kits are also detailed, and nicely designed. All of them have a good variety of subjects. GPM also has some very good airplane kits, specially pre-WWII.
Yoav's kit are great visually, and look easy to build (though I haven't built any yet). Maybe another question to guide you better would be: What kind of plane, or what era are you interested in? That would help a lot to narrow the choices.

I think you are making a bit too much science by asking for the best models. My recommendation is to build a few moderate complexity airplanes before diving into a super detailed kit like Halinski. Even for some of us experienced plane builders, the complexity and confusing instructions will cause frustration and may turn the whole thing to a negative experience Isaac

Try the Ford Tri-Motor available in the download section of this forum. Since it has a detailed interior, and nice printed details on the exterior that can easily be layered to add more detail, I think it would be a great one for the cross-over.
I built this one stock, back in the 1980s and it is an impressive model. I had been a plastic and wood builder for 30 years and used this model as my return-to-paper cross-over.
