The Shafrir 2 missile looked good...

About the landing gear: Yoav is right, the angle that should be (Between the wing and the landing gear) seen in the sketch (part X in the part page).

Hey friends

The angle of the main landing gear should be more sloping.

I attach a picture with an illustration and an explanation of how it should be.

YOAV

and now a picture with the my 1:50 KFIR C2.....(it is the same angle like the MIRAGE 3C).
You can see in the picture of my model the slanted angle of the main landing gear...
Also, the wheel itself, is actually vertical to the ground.

another pictures of the real bird.
you can see that the angle is more sloping......
Especially when the weight of the plane sits on the main landing gears... and especially when the aircraft is loaded with armaments as you build the model.

This is a good lesson in accuracy!

I see the hobby going toward a better and more accurate model designs. We have vast amount of information available to each of us now ( on the internet ) and no excuse not to use it to improve our hobby.

Thanks

Isaac

Cool Pitot tube

I decided to make the nose pitot tube out of a wood toothpick.

first, here is a metal version for plastic models used as a reference.

put in rotary tool, shape it, paint it

Mirage 3C- Yoav model 1/30 scale-img_6014.jpg

and install it.

and the tiny small pitot below the nose

I am still debating what to do about the center pylon. That will come later after final display. I'm still in technical discussions now.
