Prudenziati question

What scale are the Prudenziati planes?

I think he never actually said what scale his models were.
Looks like he just adjusted the size of the model to fit one page...
And as you probably already saw, the pages have somehow arbitrary dimensions.
They're not A4, nor letter size. Some of his pages are almost squared.
So it's difficult to really say which scale they are.

The way to know is build it and compare with the actual measurements of the aircraft to find the scale.

An approximation is to measure the full span of the wings of the original in cm, find out the length on the wings of the model in cm.
Then divide the actual versus the model=xxx,
that number would be below the scale 1/xxx.
This is assuming no dihedral. If you know the dihedral you may correct it multiplying by the cosine (dihedral angle) by the span of the model.

Actual span/(cos(dih)*model span) = xxx, in 1/xxx

then you may print it again with the reduction or expansion you need.
if the model is 1/72 but you need 1/100 reduce to 72%, on the contrary if it is 1/100 then enlarge to 139%

Is tis correct?

For the Corsair, good luck, you will have to build it and find out!!!

Ok, so if you find out about the scales let us know.
Happy modeling.

He generally was around 1/72, but made use of the page, too. If there was quite a bit of empty page, he had a tendency to enlarge them a bit

They were supposed to be 1/ 72 and most of them were pretty close, but some of them were exported a little off. The P-51 was a little too small for 1/72 for instance. I thought the MC. 200 and MC 202 were pretty close.
