Another seat

Thank you guys! Indeed, lots of small parts and I'm longing to continue with the bigger ones to report faster progress but I'm afraid there's still a long way to go on the square inch or centimeter. I roughly counted 300 parts for the cockpit area alone, which makes up for almost one-third of the total parts for this model.

Next is the radio operator/rear gunner's seat, part no. 14. He was the guy flying backwards, which mustn't have been that comfortable, not being able to see what was coming up. Again, a small model of its own, and designed with great precision resulting in a great fit.

Below the seat is a kind of frame, made of a thin plastic rod as per the template provided with the model, which must be part of the mechanism to slide the seat back and forth. The last picture is my non-pretentious work place. Ah well, it suits its purpose .

Cheers,
Erik

Magnificent job, Erik. Those seal belts look amazing. 300 parts for the cockpit alone, WOW.

300 pieces for the cockpit ! But it shows, wonderful work.
By the way, did you tidy up your work space before taking a picture of it ? Looks as neat as your model - maybe there is a connection there, neat work area, neat build.

Holy Cow, Erik. 300! I just ordered my first Helinski kit and am slowly working up to it. I may need more time...

Excellent progress and it does look like you could climb in and fly away!

Great progress on the cockpit, Erik

There are many parts that are specific to this kit!

Erik

With so much detail in the cabin, I would suggest installing tiny LED lights inside to make it visible especially thru the may glass windows. That would add a lot to your masterpiece when displaying the models for others to see like in a show.
