help wanted: Maly Modelarz A6M2 Zero

So I have been building the attached over the last month or so and I started on the canopy last night and its not going so well.

I am now in need of some new canopy frames and of course I did not scan this one in advance.

So, if any body has this one in their stash and would be kind enough to scan the canopy parts for me I would be forever grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Greg, you are building a Maly?!? Are you contending for your own Silk Purse Out of a Sow's Ear award? Or is this recent enough to be one of the modern era good ones?

Tongue firmly in cheek,
Anne

I hope so as at last years convention I won the award, off the record I like the earlier designs and the s-itty paper, but none of you guys on this forum want any of my duplicates of oldies from 1957, although I know some are being reprinted by Lok maly Modelarz. Their latest just came out another F-14 but it is the A version?

Joe,

All you have to do in order for us guys on this forum to want your kits, is to make a list of the ones you have, simple enough, put down the year, the subject, and how much you want for it, nothing more nothing less. And you will get people interested in what you have to offer, and that goes the same for your other kits

Rick

Anne, this Maly was published in 2000, so it's not printed on "burlap". ;-)

Actually, it's a nice kit. Coloring is uniform, without the subtle shading and weathering effects often seen on Halinski planes, but still very attractive. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed model.

This is definitely not a sow's ear kit! It was designed by one of my favorite designers, Pawel Mistewicz. His designs tend to be spot on with fit.

So when you see a Maly kit with his name attached as designer, that is a good thing.

Also, started the fabrication of a vacuform mold of the canopy last night. Looks like it will just fit in my Mattel vac-u-form machine.

Second try on the canopy was much more successful.

So here are pictures of the finished model.

Nice job will have to try one of my recent maly Modelarz, but new ones are too glossy and designs are a little too detailed for me.
