You don't really want to roll it tight...just roll it enough that the gluing tab doesn't show. The upper half of the cylinder continues wrapping around the cylinder. Done properly, the end of the longer (upper cylinder half) should just about line up with the seam on the lower part of the cylinder. Much easier to do than to explain. My own preference for Marek's cylinders is to cut off the gluing tab, then cut off the projecting part of the cylinder ( the 'barrel' of the pistol-shaped part). Use the cut-off tab as a gluing strip to join the long cylinder, then wrap and glue the cooling fin portion onto the top portion of the cylinder, trimming a bit as needed to get a good butt joint. For some reason, the stair-step appearance of a lap joint just bothers me.
