Well, if you're patient we might just make that happen. This was a fairly rushed job to get it ready before the Christmas weekend and I asked Aaron for 1/48 to match some other aircraft I've had designed.

My own versions will get the standard Murphy treatment of blowing them up as big as I can get them. 1:48 had too many itty bitty parts for my 10 thumbs to be able to build.

right-on! that is why I like 1/33 scale, too big for plastic kits, but about right for paper!

Thanks Ryan,

Probably no time to build it "in time"... The LOTH asks, no claims, ;-) my co-operation in the Christmas-preparations!
Happy Christmas and Newyear.

Thanks again for the Christmas gift.

If the model is indeed 1/48 and you want it to be 1/33 you would print the model at 145% to convert it to be ≈ 1/33.

To find the percent:
Divide the scale you have by the scale you want
Have: 48
Want: 33
48/33 ≈ 1.45
then move the decimal place two places to the right to get 145% for printing in the desired scale.

The result is actually a repeating 1.45454545... so it was rounded off. You could go to 146% if desired or if your printer properties will allow you could print at 145.45%. My eyeballs are not calibrated enough to notice the difference.

What a wonderful piece of information. Thanks!! Can I use the result on my Photoshop, not on the printer? any changes on the formula?

Here’s the finished model. Pardon the odd colors. I haven’t used the printer in a few months and the yellow ink didn’t kick in until the last sheet was being printed. I’m going to do a couple of Caravan repaints so I built this version mostly to check parts fit. Accurate colors was not important on this imaginary paint scheme. Besides, purple looks natural on a Caravan. For those that haven’t looked at the files, the purple on the nose should be “reindeer” brown, and the tail surfaces should be all green. The model looks too large to be 1/48 scale. I would place it at 1/40 scale.

Many thanks to Ryan and Aaron for a nice Christmas present.
