simple and quick model.
I built it 3 times. Once repainted it to look more metallic since the light brown looked a bit off color. Nice model to start with. Isaac

this was one of my earlier forays into east European models. I won a stack of these on ebay many years ago and the original paper was a mix of burlap, sawdust and "paper". it went together well but there was a lot of delamination and frank paper fracture. I had the devastator model that I had to rescan and repaint and the ark royal that I surrendered to the great fireplace starter pile. you have done really well to make this look this good!

I did that model twice,unfortunately none survived moves.
There is nothing really strange about it.It's contemporary of F-80 Shooting Star and F-84 Thunderjet.Unlike those two Yak-23 was meant purely as a light fighter like Yak-3 before it or Folland Gnat much later. |
