You need to use very thin material, like clear acetate Packing Tape or Cellotape.
If you try this with something like Laminating sheets, it doesn't work as well.
Its harder to form and bend...it won't hold a shape/curve.
The laminating plastic also won't stretch into corners, or give you a tight seal around the edges of the window panes.
And it isn't as clear as thin Packing Tape.

I've used both...the laminating plastic is better for larger windows.

That looks like the clear packing tape method, which works very well except for the glossy frames. At 1/100 it's not easy to get a good fit though.

Hawk 75N finished

TRied various ways to do clear canopy. Nothing so far worked very well. Will have to think on it more. Otherwise happy with this build of a unique plane and markings.

Since this model does not have an interior, a clear canopy might not be the best choice.

First thing i would suggest is colour the window panes.
Either darken them with pencil or marker.
Or, maybe colour them as a gradient...dark at the top, fading to lighter at the bottom.

Then...after you have coloured the glass, try to make the window panes glossy.
You can use clear cellotape on the outsides of the window panes.
Maybe just tape the windows and not the canopy framework?
OR
Paint the glass panes with high gloss Nail polish.
Buy a cheap clear glossy nail polish from the Dollar Store and try that.
Maybe pick up some fine paint brushes at the same time
(instead of using that nail brush that comes in the polish bottle. its a bit fat.)

.............
If you want a challenge, try this:
Print two Canopy parts.
Print one at normal scale 100%...but the second one, print at about 95%(slightly smaller).
This way it will fit inside the first when assembled.

Now cut out the windows on the larger canopy part, leaving just the skeleton frame.

Clear coat the smaller Canopy part to be glossy (Nail Polish, White Glue, or cellotape)

Mount the smaller canopy (with glossy windows) inside the larger Framework Canopy.
The window panes will be slightly recessed and glossy.

Thank you so much for those ideas. Will have to work on them. The double canopy idea really sounds interesting.
