1/33 Douglas F3d-2 Skyknight YG-Model
When I bought this model kit, I realized that it should be available in digital. The printing provided by YG-model also looks very much like it was produced by an inkjet printer, rather than by printing at the printery.
I just searched the designer's development process for this model, but unfortunately the digital sales link published at the end is no longer available. Douglas F3D Skyknight 1/33 (1/48) My first step is to process the canopy because I couldn't find any finished products for sale from any store. Fortunately, the designer provided refined frames. |

The final version of the canopy is made of resin molds, and its smoothness is much better than gypsum.

Next, I started building from the nose instead of starting from the cockpit as I am accustomed to.

The next steps were to start from the tail, make towards the head direction.

I have always liked this airplane, which was so different in shape from the usual image of a sleek fighter jet.
It is fascinating to follow your construction. Many thanks for all the step-by-step images and explanatory notes. I admire your clean and precise work. Don |
