Absolutely beautiful, Glen. Probably a good omen that the pileated woodpecker came back on the day you posted those images.

I'm certainly feeling lots of encouragement from you all! Thanks to you each for the kind word and I will push on with this, hard to stop now that am at this point anyway as am beginning to have fun with this kit. I may have some early pics of construction of this if interested, I'll have to hunt for them. If you read Yoav's tutorial again about making a vacuum box if you don't have one that may be the most helpful item I can stress in this thread. I'm hoping to make tires on my wood lathe today and once gear are made this one will be largely assembly....

Thanks again to Peter, Joe, Richshindler, Isaac, Brett, Yoav, Erik, and Don...
I did find a few pictures of early progress I was thinking I had taken a few, the progress continued to the point of completed fuselage and sat for a long time! Here are the pics I could locate

De haviland
Hello Glen
She’s looking fantastic, I love this model and I was riveted to Eriks build some time ago also. Good luck and watching with interest. Note - Before Christmas I had the pleasure of visiting the de haviland museum in the uk. 2 outstanding mossies and the prototype on view, awesome! Regards |
