Interesting. Model hardly resembles IL-2 yet by 1964 there was a few of them already in museums.Very cool build and I see some trimming of parts to fit. Hard model and paper quality doesn't help.

By itself, today this magazine has become a museum rarity ... I could not cut it off. :-) Although all my youth, I built models from this great magazine. At that time the magazine Maly Modelarz was unique and inimitable. One issue of the magazine cost two trips by metro or bus ... Good luck in your work.

I have a number of these old Maly Modelarz models, and although I've completed a couple of them, it was a battle. There must have been a lot of acid in the paper, based of how yellowed and brittle it becomes. You don't seem to be having much trouble with the curved surfaces crinkling - do you have a secret? Also, I notice that the saw tooth glue tabs on your fuselage sections are not cut out. Do you cut them out immediately before assembly, cut in slits, or use some other method? Whatever you do, it works. Nice job so far.

The best solution with these antique models is to scan them 600dpi, clean them with any software for this purpose like Gimp, and then print them with a laser printer. Believe me, they come out as fresh as if they were just released from the traditional offset printing press. You can also chose the right paper for the job.
