Marek/Matt77 Berg D.1 FINISHED! 1/33rd Scale

Hello All,

This was built as per the kit with only a few additions like paper seat belts, rigging, control horns, a fleshed-out paper prop by putty and sanding, some engine detail and 20 gauge hypodermic needle tips for the machine gun extension tubes and a bit of pastel under the wings where I figure dirt from the wheels may have collected. A pretty cool thing about these models is that it's really, really easy to add that all important washout on the Teutonic ailerons!

Anyway, here she is:

I think Matt77 should repaint lots more designs. Man, what a treat that would be. So far for me, the renderings on Matt77, Wagner's, John Dell and...now that I've actually seen one in the flesh..Helinski are just stupendous. And Marek's design pretty much fit like a glove and the assembly went dang smoothly. What an enjoyable modeling experience!

Thanks for looking. Not sure which WWI paper model I'll do next, but it sure won't be long...

Dan

smithdr!!

I'm happy to have looked at this post, I consider it an incentive to recolor other models.

I forgot these two in my PC!!

I know this is an older thread, but I have to say something....

I am looking for a new flying micro model to make. I take card model graphics and print them on 1mm depron foam. I use micro spektrum electronics to make them radio controlled. most are dimescale size which is approximately 16" (406.4mm)
I am always looking for an interesting subject that is down in a realistic manner.THIS model looks AMAZING !!
How do I purchase this model, and for that matter every model Matt77 has painted or repainted?

any help would be greatly appreciated,

Don

Hi Don...

I was surprised to see my rendition of Matt77's model front and center! It is indeed beautifully rendered. I have his Nieuport 24, an Albatros and the Balilla. They are all equally lovely.

I got all of them (except for the Balilla) from E-Card. I am just hoping they get his stuff back. Of course, he does run a shop so maybe a quick link click or search will find him.

Well worth looking for. They would make for awesome micro RC models, that's for sure...
