Thanks, everybody!

Gene: I used elastic thread called EZ-line. It's simply attached with thick super glue and accelerator. Makes for a pretty quick job!

Here is a link of a tiny (and not very well-produced!) video I made of how to do it on a paper Short sea plane from WWI. Easy with a bit of practice but just not structural.

I just watched that video a couple of days ago after reading this thread thread ... and following my own link in it. My bad for my not mentally connecting your fine video to this great build.

That's funny, Gene. I didn't follow the run-around either so we were both behind the barn door...who cares! As long as the info is seen.

Those videos were fun to make but not well done. I think I want to try another build series but try to do a better cinematographic coverage...

Cheers,
Dan

Before I post this guy as complete, I did need to make the prop. This turned out to take a bit of doing as I didn't want to cheat as much as I have before and just use a spare plastic prop! So I used the paper parts on the kit. Trouble was, it looked a little anemic and, well...like two pieces of paper stuck to a tiny rolled cylinder hub! So I beefed it up a bit with putty and sanding etc. It looks better...not perfect...but better.

And...I was bad and just got a few "real" paper kits from Poland including my first Helinski kits!

Watch this space as I think I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew
...but I'm happy!

Time to channel my inner Ricardo/Erik/Isaac!

I need another model like I need a hole in my head, but your build has inspired me to do just that. Buy another model, that is.

You need to curve the prop blades lengthwise, then edge glue around the perimeter, this will give you a flattened oval "airfoil" shape.

I am an instigator!

Fred: I got the same effect by just adding putty and sanding that look in. I think your method would have been the way to go though...but the blades still looked too skinny to my eye...

Thanks for looking and commenting.
