Thai Paperwork 1:100 SOC Seagull

Another great little kit! Used 32 lb paper and it really built nicely. Used heat stretched Q-Tips for rigging. The Q-Tips are great because you can make many diameters depending on how quickly you stretch it. Makes good landing gear and barrels, etc.

I think this is your best model yet, Michael! Very clean and precise construction. Excellent work on the rigging. And, of course, a very appealing subject.

Thanks for the good tip on the plastic Q-tips (paper Q-tips are also useful as axels and thin cylinders - they can be unwrapped to achieve a specific thickness). A variation on the old stretched plastic sprue technique.

I look forward to your next project.

Don

Very nice, I wonder if this would scale up to 1:25 or so.

Don't know about scaling up but I am now working on a Thai P-51D shrunk from 1:48 to 1:100
