Hi all

At last it seems I have an internet connection that works

Even though I've not been able to post and at times only been able to read what your all doing. I have been cracking on with this little bird

This section will be about the Nose through the cockpit to the wing root.
I have started this section of the build from the nose back.
The first photo is the outer and inner skin of the bomb aimers position and the second both part bent into shape to test fit. the controls are just printed on these parts.

both sections joined together

I have added some of the controls for a little bit of detail with more to add yet. Also the former to hold the front turret has been added.

This next section is the part that will join the nose to the cockpit and has the former for the control pedals.

Both parts joined together.

This last one is the start of the cockpit inner skin with the raised mounting for the pilots seat.

More to follow if the internet holds up

Regards
Rob

Second shot for tonight if you can take it
The pilots seat sitting on its platform. The grey dot is one of my reference points and will not be in the finished model.

This shows most of the pilots flight controls in place. Hope this will look better in the final build, if my eyes and fat fingers can cut better

Another shot of the otherside

This last one is of some of the parts that went into it

Lets see if I can get another in before the internet goes down again

You're a better man than me Rob. Have you built the extension on the house to store this monster yet?

And the last for tonight, late here and off to work in a few hours. Some sleep must be had

Please keep in mind that this is still only the test build and no edge colour has been used except for a bit of black marker pen. It's my first attempt at this bit of the build.

The photo below shows the next section added . This is the Navigator and radio section. The former has been added with the navigators table

A shot down the this section from the back

Started to fit the table supports and some of the radio gear.

Below a view from the other end.

And below the radio/ navigators seat fitted

These last two of the nose section just to give you an idea of where I'm up to with this bit of the build. The canopy has only been place on the top. Not fitted or glued yet

And the very last for tonight is a shot of my bomb shell of a desk that I do the main work from. This was taken when working out the wing spares and rib positions. Just as well it's my home office, having a swivel chair allows me to slide between doing office paper work on one desk and this on the other behind

Take care all
Rob

Hi Ratta

funny you should say that, did the extension 3 years ago and now thinking of a large work room to go behind the garage. It will keep my other half from telling me "just to print another".
So far this thing has over a thousand parts, lost count and not looking forward to going back through it all adding numbers so I don't forget

Lot of detail there Rob. I like the progress you're making. Looks good.

Rob, I am very late to this thread but the photo of the Victor K2 immediately caught my eye - I used to fly these beasties! I sincerely hope that your model will represent a 55 Squadron Victor K2?

How are you off for the hull section drawings? I have some plans and colour schemes that I am sure will help, including very detailed plan and profile drawings, showing several cross-sections through the fuselage, wings, underwing tanks etc. PM me with an email, and I'll scan and send some material to you.

Good luck with the Lanc - a laudable and ambitious project! Ditto with the Victor!
