Hi all

Just a little update tonight, and a cautionary tale for all our partners out there who don't understand the paper modellers mind. Especially mine

This afternoon I was sitting here fixing together all the first test parts for the main static version of the undercarriage and was well pleased with myself. A loud YES was uttered by myself as all the parts fitted first time, I was amazed it did
When in pops my wife to ask what I was so pleased about, so I showed her.
After a long silence with nothing being said, I asked well what do you think.

The answer I got was "well does it work" I said no it's a static model. Answer to that was "well what's the point".

I think the reaction that was expected from me was disappointment to say the least. She did not get it, instead my reply was "what I dam good idea"
So wife got ignored for the next few hours and I think I have come up with a basic start to a workable undercarriage in paper It is just basic but the concept works.

I have already started on a new version of this with paper tube bearings.
Once I have the next versions parts built, just before I put them all together I will soak them in Supper glue ( CA ) this will give the rigidity needed to support the model I hope
When I had the idea to do this I took some off the tubes, soaked them and will do stress test for load bearing tomorrow when I get in from work.

So if your partner does not want to be a paper widow, don't do sarcastic comments. You might end up regretting it
She ended up going shopping on her own.

Have fun all. I did

Rob

Rob, things on the ol' Lanc seem to have gone quiet. Has 'life', as usual, got in the way?

I hope Rob is OK, I was wondering what happened with the Lanc just the other day. For some reason time has flown so hopefully it is just a case of 'stuff' getting in the way.
