canopies in my models - Clarifications

As you know, I'm planning my models in flight mode, which means, without landing gears and closed canopies.

In order for me to assemble the closed canopy in a good and easy way on the cockpit, I always add to the part of the cockpit, another 1-2 millimeters (at the top of it).
This addition constitutes a good basis for the fram of the canopy on which it sits.

So if someone wants to build my models with an open canopy and stay true to reality, he will have to follow the next process:
1. Build a canopy, including its frame.
2. Assemble the canopy without glue on the part where the cockpit sits.
3. Mark with pencil the border of the frame on the part of the cockpit.
4. Then remove the excess upper part.

It's not an easy job, but it's the right thing to do when you want to build my models with an open canopy.

And in my future F-16 model, it will take a lot of work to fit it into an open canopy, because the cockpit of the F-16 is very complex (compared with other models), especially at the rear.

I hope I've been able to explain my words with my not so good English.

best regards
