Fabulous job Pericles! A beautiful plane magnificently built. And well won the bet! But you have to be careful, because after a few days the losers tend to forget😆.

Smile Back to business...

Hello my friends!
Gradually I am recovering, this Thursday finally the main part of my change of address is over. On Wednesday I finished reestablishing my model space. The only bad thing is that the model exhibitor had to stay at my mother's house. I will have to have another one done to stay here in my new house.

The irony of fate is that I got a three-bedroom apartment literally a block down the street, only this time in an apartment complex. I still have a view of the hill. even living on the second floor.

Taking this little off topic, I take the opportunity to show some pictures of the new model space.

The first job at the workbench in the new house was to paint some frames of small paintings from my wife's collection with paint. (yes she loves Frida Kahlo) ...

I believe that this weekend I already have something to show here ...

Smile Martinsyde Buzzard

My friends.

Following the schedule before the house move, I resumed the construction of Martinsyde Buzzard, models started in the first half of 2019 at the collective workshop of CCCP, my local model club. Like the Spanish NiD-29 and the Mexican SVA-5, these two models were practically finished and had their constructions described in detail in this topic. Now we are working on rigging and I hope this weekend maybe we can finish them. This time I am varying the material using brush bristles (technique of friends Rata and Michael Stanley), it is an easy material to find and it is easily manipulated and glued with CA glue on the paper, but it only serves for small scales.

The Buzzard has a flight cable and support scheme quite unusual for a small biplane and on the other hand, highly complex, I suspect this is due to the power of the engine and its weight.

More to come soon!

Pericles, I am green with envy at your modelling workshop! And the setting of your apartment is striking. Must inspire your creativity!

Thank's Wyvern! Some of space is make with a mix of necessity, improvisation and a good dose of planning. The window-side workstation is a kitchen island that we had in our old house, which in the apartment's kitchen is smaller so I "confiscated" and works as a work bench to do standing work. For now I continue with the work at Martinsyde.

Thank you very much Rob! I'm glad you liked my new space, it is simple but functional.

This weekend I worked on Martinsyde rigging, a pleasant task despite the relative complexity. My expectation is to finish both models today or tomorrow, depending on the drying of the paint on the touch-ups that still need to be done ...

More updates soon..

Very nice biplanes Pericles, what material are you using to make rigging wires?
