Cool

Last night I worked only on the DB-7, placing the wings, vertical stabilizers and started work on the nacelles, in the next section of photos I must show some tricks to fix it precisely. Note the forming base made with a strip of cardboard to make the wings have the correct shape on the leading edge. This construction device helps a lot when assembling and attaching the wings to the fuselage.

My expectative is finish the model today...

Well my friends, our third construction of the quadrilogy is heading towards its conclusion. In the photos below you see how the nacelles are fixed, the process is similar to the arrangement made on the wings: two small strips of 0.5mm cardboard paper that help to fix and maintain the correct width of each nacelle. The rear end was inserted later to help adjust the whole set. That done, we built the cownlings with their air intakes, laminating the faces of the engines on 1 mm cardboard.

The engine blocks as well as the rear gun repair were made in scratchbuilding using 180g light gray colored paper ...

The main construction is finished, remaining to make propellers, landing gear, details not present in the model and finishes. I believe that tomorrow, finally, this project will be concluded.

Great techniques, I don't do any of those. I just edge glue the piece I am attaching and hope it goes in the right spot. I did this repaint and mod a few years ago and see a bunch of things I have to fix.

I see only end on engine nacelles not quite joining up to rear of the wing but this is model design not repaint issue.

I see magnificent colors and unmistakable shape of Douglas A-20.Excellent work Pericles.

Hopefully someday I'll make one of Soviet A-20 used by either Northern or Baltic fleets.Finns battled those on occasions,so did Germans stationed in Lapland.Few have crashed way up there in Arctic forests.
