100 scale Gloster Meteor

I just searched the forum threads about Bruno’s planes. I didn’t see any images about the 100 scale Gloster Meteor. Does anyone have an image of how the tail mount to fuselage? Doesn’t seem obvious to me. I got the engine nacelles worked out. This little guy was not as straight forward as I thought it was going to be.

Meteor 1/100 construction images

I don´t see any major trouble on doing these. Here are for your guidance. It was better to post your request at Bruno´s thread. Regards, Tony.

I intend to build at least two Meteor of the Brazilian Air Force this year, but it is not in the immediate plans. I believe that Tony has resolved the issue for now.

Well friends, after a hiatus of a few weeks, we resumed the construction of Scissors and Planes with a "programming line ferret", a repaint of our friend Rata, based on Bruno's P-35, the Seversky SEV-DS, piloted by James Doolittle sponsored by Shell and used in air racing and promotional purposes in 1937/38.
The construction of the fuselage has no major problems, just having to be careful with the construction of the wings, Rata has divided the wing in his Mod into three different sections. In the model I present my usual modifications: repositioning of the engine to be transformed into former and lamination of the internal wing supports.

I think today I finish.

I start with build my Seversky collection!

Smile Seversky Family 1

Well friends, after a month practically, finally something to show:

The Seversky SEV-DS (Doolittle Special) is a special version of racing and acrobatics, derived from the P-35 fighter developed in 1937/38 for Colonel Jimmy Doolittle with Shell sponsorship. The family of Seversky monoplanes that culminate in the P-47 Thunderbolt, was designed by Alexander Kartveli and dates back to the 1933 SEV-3 amphibious monoplane that had many developments and culminated in the BT-8 and P-35. In addition to the Doolitlle plane, there were other Seversky monoplanes and civilian monoplanes in the 1930s, including the S1, the S 2 being the latter, winner of the 1939 Bendix trophy flown by Fank Fuller and also the SEV-AP4 flown by Jacqueline Cochran. All were different from each other, with aerodynamic canopies with different engines.

This model was based on the P-35, catalog numbers:#1635 and #1636. It was repainted and modified by Rata to represent the SEV-DS, which is slightly different than the production P-35 in having a lower canopy and a different engine. Rata did a series of 3 repaintings based on the old Kit kit in vacuoforming from Rareplanes on the P-35 in 1/72.

The model has no problems to be built, but I felt a little difficulty in inserting the wings that in the Mod do Rata are divided into three sections and also with the wing fillets that I consider too small.

I made my usual modifications, laminating the wheels, the internal wing supports, transforming the engine face into a former and laminating the engine box in a thick cardboard block.

With this model I declare start my Severskys collection
