Interspersing with the Battle of Midway theme and some "free shots", I'm resuming my "biplane mood" summarizing the construction of the Ukrainian Fokker DVII. Most parts have already been built awaiting final assembly.
The model has few modifications, basically apart from the repaint, the cockpit produced by Jaromir and its propeller. With the Ukrainian DVII I intend to inaugurate a series of post-war DVII models that include some modifications and derivations such as the C1 and versions with different power plants. Remembering that many posts ago in this thread I set up two DVIIs (March 2019) where the constructions of two DVIIs from Wartime were detailed. |

Hello my friends!
After some time without updating our projects and some advances in Fokker DVII, life outside has prevented me from spending a lot of time at the workbench. The general assembly progressed well and as it is an easy to assemble model and as I mentioned before I had already assembled two previously, there were no major problems. The only customizations besides the repaint were the cockpit that I stole from the DVII of Gerry1966 and the volumetricization of the top of the engine, I will also put the actuators of the moving surfaces. In the current state it lacks painting of corners and white parts, as well as rigging and actuators. I hope to finish this model today. |

Nice work Péricles.
I've always found the post-war Dutch D.VII's to be attractive too. May do one or two repaints one day.

Neat model. I like D.VII because it's one of very few biplanes I can build with confidence. I don't know why but it's far easier for me than for example SE-5 or Ni-17. I made few of them over the years.

Probably the square-ish fuselage and wings, no dihedral and no rigging. Which would also explain it's popularity among the flying model fraternity.

I don't know how some of ya'll work in such small scales. It's quite impressive.

Really the post-war Fokker DVII variations are rich, there were even versions with new engines, both made in Holland and in other countries. Not to mention the two-seat version called the CI/II, the DVII influenced the design of many later aircraft such as the PW8/Hawk family in the US. Certainly your repaints will be very welcome from these post-war versions. |

Small scales have two golden tips in my opinion: patience and a combination of good lighting with a good magnifying glass. Thank you anyway! |
