I just love those old propliners. Connies, DC series(2-7), Viscounts, Boeings 377,307. That was a beautiful era of aviation.
I'm looking forward for your TWA DC-3.

TWA Flight 207 from Chicago to Denver. The passengers have a lovely view of the country as it unfolds at blinding speed under them. The stewardesses pampered the passengers with blankets and pillows. The younger flyers were invited to the cockpit to see all the guages. At arrival everyone walked across the tarmac to the terminal. Everyone cherished their memories of the trip for years.

A time lost that will never come again....

Very nice display and a good reminiscence of pre-jet airline travel.

I was fortunate to have had the experience of flying in civil DC-3s and USAF C-47s in the 1950s (and the benefit of some assistance from an AC-47 one dark night 50 years ago).

I was a "Loach" pilot on my SE Asia vacation in 1970. Saw 47's and 130's do their fireworks shows. Saw the aftermath up real close. The firepower was just devastating.
