Flying recruiting poster from the 30's - P-26 in 1:100

Very few planes more colorful than these little guys. I am sure these were a strong incentive to join up for the USAAC in the middle of the depression. I started and failed with Marek's Peashooter in 1:33 in a few months ago. Hopefully I am now up to the task in 1:100. Really getting a kick out of shrinking these lil guys!

Yessss, yesss. Release your smaller inner self. Feel the accomplishments of down scaling.
The braille scale is strong in this one.

Welcome to the blind side....

Glad to see that you are building a Peashooter, Michael.

Best wishes for the build. Looks great so far.

Today's progress. Not sure I like these double formers. Guess you just have to get used to it.

I built that is 1/33. If'n I were to do it again I would not use the double formers and convert it to joining strips. I do this now on all models I come across with the double formers, I keep one of the former for shape (made a hair smaller) and join the sections with joining strips.

That is what I did with the one I tried in 1:33. The damn wheel spats whipped my a$$ so I gave it to the G'kids. I think I have learned enough now that I could probably do it fine in 1:33 now.

Moving right along. The double former thank is a little fiddly but it looks like it turned out OK.

Now it is looking like a wheel spat! Many thanks to Dave, Texman and others who have ofgfered advice. I actually shaped the spats by pressing on a mouse pad as Dave suggested in his P-47 build thread. Worked great and I didn't even have to cut the slits to make the correct shape. Had no idea paper had this much flexibility.

Nice work. I'm learning a lot through watching you experiment and develop your paper modeling TTP.
