Outstanding work, Ted! John provides superb kits for the WWII U.S.A.A.F. heavies, and you made some excellent modifications to produce the 1/100 version.

It would be great if your ER duties and other commitments would permit you to attend the Paper Modelers at Army Heritage Days event 19-20 May so we could see you 1/100 Milton Caniff special next to John's array of models.

Don

That's amazing. The ruler idea is needed! That thing does look bigger than 1/100th. Excellent job.

I too love John's designs. They go together well and are so nicely rendered. Looks great even in that small scale...

Cheers,
Dan

Do not forget that in 1/100 it's a lot simpler to do the math than in 1/33 or 1/72!
you can fit almost 2 planes in 1/100 in the same area than in 1/72
you can fit 4 planes in 1/100 in the same area than in 1/50
you can fit 9 planes in 1/100 in the same area than in 1/33
In terms of volume: one plane in 1/72 would occupy almost 3 times more: in 1/50 8 times more, and in 1/33 almost 28 times more.
So you chose detail versus size of your collection.

Great work.
Amazing building of a very-well designed kit.
I still look in awe at you people who can build so nicely in such small scale. Is delightful to see.

Cmdrted - super build. What what thickness of paper do you use in 1/100?
