smoothing nose of torpedo

Hi There
Could you please explain a bit more about how the nose of the torpedo was smoothed?
Thanks
Barry

Thanks, everyone. The torpedo is such an important part of this beast...sort of needs to be just right!

Barry: All I did was reinforce the petal edges with super glue and then started sanding, filling with putty, priming, filling again, puttying...etc. until I got it the waywanted it. People like Ricardo, Issac, Erik and YOAV can make the petal assembly look super smooth and pretty. Mine need the help of putty and brute force sanding!

I worked on one of the wheel pants and got both wheels formed. Not sure what the hub extensions were for on the plan and with them, the pants didn't fit so I just left them off. Everything else fit a treat. I put the wheel in for show here just so I could make sure to get the panels around and things would fit. Great!

I didn't bother worrying about the paper edging since this will all primed, puttied and sanded soon. The kit parts look really neat though!

More soon,
Dan

Thanks, All...this one sure will be unique!

Just a quick, tiny update tonight: A finished wheel spat!

It's now ready for a paint job. I really like how the embossing makes really neat panel lines. Now I just need to make it's mate.

More soon,
Dan

Dan, the torpedo has turned out well. That's quite a piece of art you have created here! Makes me very curious to see the rest of your build.

Cheers,
Erik
