This all looks very good. Between the yellow color and the overall shape, the N3N is such a good-looking airplane! I'm really glad Murph designed this model. Papermate did a superb job on his little flight of N3Ns and now we have your model to serve as an inspirational example.

I finished the sponsons and their various struts. I made six of them all together, and these are the best two. I embedded some very fine wire in the struts, and am not sure that did much to help to stiffen them. The sponsons as printed have tabs, but I couldn't make those work for me so I tried joiner strips with varying results. All in all, they were enjoyable to build (since I am in no hurry). I have to say that the parts go together very well. My struggles had nothing to do with the quality of the model.

The Navy was (according to what I read) was dramatically increasing its output of pilots from its training program. I'm sure movies like this helped with recruiting. Can't wait to see it—in color, too. |

Naval Aircraft Factory vs My Factory
As I was researching the N3N I ran across a picture of the factory floor with Perils under construction. Look at all the airframes. There are so few of the planes remaining today that it is easy to forget the scope of the program.
My facilities, while very comfortable, are considerably more limited. Cheers. Jon |

You are very welcome. Before seining Dive Bomber I don't think I have seen any film showing that many US Navy planes either.Maybe Tora,Tora,Tora or Midway but aerial shots in those films were nowhere near as good as much earlier Dive Bomber.Btw I think Battle of Britain has more planes ,so does Captain of The Clouds (just not for the whole film).
